Year 1 – Week 19

for the first lesson we began creating a 3D horror game environment. I did this by adding a dark sky box. limited lighting and very little visibility. I also learnt how to create particles and I began by adding dust as well as rain to improve the games quality of life. This gave a sense of uneasiness and knew that i would eventually update it into having creatures and sounds to help create even more fear to the player. Below is the footage of the game so far.

For the next lesson we started learning how to do basic rigs. as I began learning rigging last week I had some understanding on how to do it. I did learn some stuff such as weight paint which would’ve been useful last week. Below is my progress of rigging a cube.

Afterwards we began learning how to rig a human character. We were given a low poly cowboy model and told to create an animation within it. I decided that I would create a duel between two cowboy’s and so I used Sketchfab to find a revolver model as well as a background. unfortunately the background model didn’t transfer on one drive and so for the final render there was no setting. below is my progress as well as my final render.
