For the first lesson of the week, we began by reviewing the movie “Klaus”. what I gained was that they used their own voices as sort of structure to help with the animation before the voice actors came in. They also used they’re own acting as a way to help aid the drawing process. Next they partnered with a French company to create the lighting using AI and once they had rendered it in. they hand editing small details such as eye glints in the light. They also used some 3D models but only a handful as to help add the realism into the scenes. They used several parts in the scenes for the background to add even more depth and make it look 3D.
For Dom’s lesson we Began with the starter question of what is 3D animation. £D animation is the process of making items in the 3D space move. This can be done by Blender and involves the use of the x, y and z axis.
3D animation refers to the process of taking digital objects and making them come to life by creating the illusion that they’re moving through a three-dimensional space. These computer-generated objects appear on a two-dimensional screen, but they’re created to mimic the principles of a 3D world. they appear to move, turn, and rotate like a real-world object, allowing for a 360-degree view of all sides.
Our first two tasks were to create a bouncing ball as well as a ball bouncing on different surfaces. we used an outline of the bouncing ball used for our 2D animation and it turned out quite well.
When creating the bouncing ball along different surfaces, I used what I had already been taught and implemented it into my creation.
Overall, I found this process very enjoyable and I understood on what to do.

EBI: If I could make the animations a bit smoother and feel less janky.
Finally we worked on creating a few animations using character rigging with the rig tool. We started by animating a wave, then a bow and then an Idle animation. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to render it through for some reason so I couldn’t upload a video onto here.
