About me

I am 18 years old based in the UK and embracing a career in visual effects. I have loved visual effects for as long as I can remember and can’t wait to get started in the industry.

When I was young I would always be fascinated by the creations and magic behind movies and I have watched corridor crew for several years now, becoming hypnotised by the wonders of movie making.

By the end of this year I hope to achieve a further understanding of Games, animation and vfx and I also hope to be able to create my own environments and characters for myself.

Recently within my course I have begun to learn how to use Zbrush which will provide me with the tools I will need to create characters for myself.

I have gained most of my knowledge of web design through my dad who works in the web design industry and helped me through the process. I was able to develop my app concept in work experience with his advice and i have spent countless days watching over his shoulder whilst he works.

I aspire to be an environmental artist once I finish this course and so I will need to learn how to make photorealistic environments as well as being able to adapt the environment that has been provided. I am also interested in becoming a matchmove artist and this course can provide me with the skills for that career as we have motion capture suits and i can use my knowledge of kickboxing to create fight scenes that can be used.

Leaving an indelible mark on the landscape of tomorrow.

My favourites

Here is a list of my favourite film, music and game.

Film

Interstellar (2014)
This Is my all time favourite movie because of its scientific accuracy. The black hole was so scientifically accurate that it took 100 hours to render.

Music

M83: Hurry up, we’re dreaming (2011)
This album has been my favourite for over 9 years and has remained that way because of its movie-like theme. Each song feels different yet it flows like scenes in a movie. It feels as though you’re listening to an audial version of a movie.

Game

Cyberpunk: 2077 (2020)
Although Cyberpunk is known infamously for its broken gameplay, I loved the game. The beauty of the game and its environment; every corner of Night City felt real and unique in its own way and really made you feel small compared to the massive corporations which tower over you both literally and figuratively.
